Ethidium Bromide, Stock Solution, 10 mg/mL is packaged in a shatter- and light-resistant bottle. When used at a final concentration of 0.5 µg/mL, this fluorescent stain can detect as little as 10 ng of nucleic acid per band in agarose or acrylamide gels. At high concentrations (0.5 - 1.0 µg/mL), it may be used to facilitate purification of DNA from cesium chloride gradients
