Products Description

Overview

  • Luminol-based substrate for rapid detection of peroxidase labeled conjugates.
  • Highly sensitive substrate saves precious protein samples and antibodies
  • Low background without compromising signal intensity

Detailed Description

VisiGlo Plus™ HRP is a luminol-based chemiluminescent substrate designed for the rapid and sensitive detection of peroxidase-labeled conjugates. It offers increased sensitivity compared to chromogenic substrates in both blotting and ELISA applications. VisiGlo Plus™ HRP can be detected using x-ray film and chemiluminescent imagers in blotting applications or using a luminometer in ELISA. VisiGlo Plus™ HRP is AMRESCO's most sensitive chemiluminescent substrate and is ideal for detecting proteins that are in low abundance. Supplied as kit with Substrate A and Substrate B for the detection of ~2400 cm2 of membrane. Mix directly before use and apply to blot.

Information

VisiGlo™ HRP and VisiGlo PLUS™ HRP are luminol-based chemiluminescent substrates designed for the rapid and sensitive detection of peroxidase labeled-conjugates. They offer increased sensitivity compared to chromogenic substrates in both blotting and ELISA applications. VisiGlo™ HRP and VisiGlo PLUS™ HRP can be detected using X-ray film and chemiluminescent imagers in blotting applications (see Comparison Chart below) or using a luminometer for ELISA. VisiGlo PLUS™ HRP is ideal for those situations where the protein of interest is expressed in low abundance. Strong signal is achieved with the use of reduced amounts of precious target and antibodies.

Sensitivity of VisiGlo™ HRP. Serial dilutions of mouse (6.1-0.024 pg) IgG were run on SDS-PAGE and transferred to membrane. Blots were developed with VisiGlo™ HRP and exposed to X-ray film for 10 minutes.

Comparison of VisiGlo™ Plus and ECL™ chemiluminescent substrate sensitivity. Serial dilutions of Mouse IgG (1 ng – 31 pg) were separated by SDS-PAGE and transferred to PVDF membranes. Protein detection was performed using HRP-labeled anti-mouse antibody and each respective substrate. Film was exposed for 10 minutes and analyzed for sensitivity and signal to noise ratios.
